Sparrowwing comes into ScarClan camp and nervously sneaks into the cave. She spots Claws taking a late nap and paws him until he wakes up. She flicks her tail and motions him out.
ReplyDelete"What is it, Sparrowwing? Why didn't you wait until tonight? You know it's too dangerous for you to come here during the day!" He whispers.
"I know, but I had to talk to you. Thistleclaw thinks that I should try to become leader of ShadeClan, and I don't know what to do," She tells him.
"Why would you become leader? Wouldn't your deputy do that?"
"Both our leader and deputy were killed in the battle. Our Clan is in turmoil, our camp is in ruins, and there is no one to lead us. I'm afraid that if I take action and say that I want to be leader, fighting will break out and we will lose even more warriors, because of me! Tell me what to do, Claws! If I did become leader, you could come to ShadeClan and live there as one of us. We wouldn't have to meet in secret, and your kits would be able to see you every day. But if things go wrong..."
"Do you want to be leader, Sparrowwing?" He asked her gently.
"I wasn't sure at first, but I think I do."
"Then try it! Say you want to be leader and see what happens."
"Alright," she said. "I'll come out tonight and tell you what happens. If I don't come, it will mean I am on my way to Star Cave and will become leader."
They touch noses and Sparrowwing runs off towards camp.
Claws waits by the old tree on the border, until Sparrowwing shows up. He jumps down to meet her.

"I went to Star Cave and they made me leader! I am Sparrowstar now! And the best thing is, you can come to ShadeClan now!" She exclaims. When he hesitates in responding, she nudges him. "You do want to come with me, don't you?"
"Well, yes, it's just that I still don't think they will accept me."
"Of course they will! I'm leader now!" She pushes him forward towards ShadeClan camp and they run off together. Claws looks back one last time, but then follows Sparrowstar into the camp.
Shard also shows up at ScarClan. He flat out waltzes(?) into the cave and narrows his eyes at the disorganization.
